With Ultima IX ends the 'Trilogy of the Trilogies' and with it the Ultima main series. It was in development for more then 5 years (with some on and offs) but the result caused rather mixed reactions amongst fan veterans and new players alike... On the other hand, Ultima IX has easily one of the nicest game packagings in recent years. From the beautiful book-like box art, the nice and accurately printed cloth map to the 8 tarot cards displaying the virtues - everything is as perfect as it can get, only the game itself limps behind...
