The Eighth Age is a commemorative package celebrating the 8th anniversary of Ultima Online. Like the '7th Anniversary Edition' it is primarily aimed at new customers rather then already registered players. The included game client is based on the 'Samurai Empire' expansion pack but can be easily upgraded without much additional patching. Special features of this particular edition are a free advanced character, one free shard transfer, a free 6th character slot plus a number of exclusive in-game gifts. The double-size dvd case contains a play guide and a special 8th anniversary atlas.
